Belrose 'Pétillant Naturel' Sparkling

The Belrose 'Pétillant Naturel' Sparkling is a raw, energetic expression of the Dumbalk terroir in South Gippsland. Crafted by Lana Stevanovich from the estate's organically managed vines, this "Pét-Nat" is bottled before the primary fermentation is complete, trapping the natural carbon dioxide to create a soft, cloudy, and persistent bead.

The 2023 release is remarkably fresh, leading with high-toned aromatics of green apple, citrus peel, and a distinct "yeasty" or freshly baked bread complexity from the time spent on lees. On the palate, it is bone-dry and "crunchy," with a vibrant acidity that reflects the cool, maritime influence of the region. Because it is unfiltered and contains no added sulphites, the wine retains a beautiful texture and a slightly hazy, sunset-gold appearance. It is the ultimate "low-intervention" aperitivo; unfined, unfiltered, and full of life.
