Mount Zero - Lentils

Mount Zero’s French-style green lentils, also known as Puy lentils, are a distinctive variety traditionally from Puy, France—but sourced closer to home in the rich, self-mulching soils of the Wimmera region in western Victoria.

The Wimmera’s long, cold winters and hot, dry summers create ideal growing conditions, producing lentils with a nutty flavour, firm texture, and thin skin that cooks easily. A favourite among chefs, these lentils are perfect for hearty salads, soups, and side dishes, and pair beautifully with feta, chèvre, mint, peas, tomatoes, and game meats.
